Tips for tuning a class
- Tune before the lesson or while the class warms up: one instrument at a time, close to the laptop microphone.
- Noisy room? The tuner ignores quiet background noise, but other instruments playing at the same time will confuse it. Ask the class to mute their strings.
- Use a laptop or the teacher’s phone at the front for the projector, and let older students scan the QR poster to tune on their own phones.
- New nylon strings stretch for days. Expect to retune new ukuleles every lesson for the first week.
On your website
Give students the tuner on your own lesson page. Copy a snippet, or pick any tuning and size in the widget builder.
